The Rostov region reported the elimination of 16 Ukrainian drones
Air defense (air defense) and electronic warfare (REB) means have destroyed and suppressed 16 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Rostov region, said Yuri Slyusar, the governor's acting governor, on January 10.
"Air defense forces and means reflect in Rostov region a massive air attack of the enemy. At the moment, 16 UAVs have been destroyed and suppressed by means of electronic warfare," he said in his Telegram channel.
As noted by the acting head of the region, Myasnikovo district was attacked: a fire broke out in a private house in the village of Chaltyr, also the fire engulfed the cars parked nearby. Fire brigades are working on the spot.
The fire also occurred on the territory of the production enterprise in the village of Krym, the emergency services are working on the site.
"In the farm Kryukov Kuybyshevsky district because of the fall of the drone damaged several buildings. At the moment it is known about broken windows, cut facades and roofing in seven residential houses and a school," Slyusar added.
According to preliminary information, there are no casualties, the governor emphasized.
Also on the night of January 10, Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev reported that several drones were suppressed by electronic warfare means in the suburbs of Voronezh. As a result of the attacks, the windows of one company were smashed, in another locality the windows of a private house were damaged and a fence was slashed, and in a suburban area the windows of four private houses, as well as a car, were damaged after the UAVs were destroyed and debris fell.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories amid the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
