The "Msta-B" hit an AFU command post on the Krasnoarmeysk direction


An artillery crew of the Msta-B howitzer of the Center group of troops has hit a command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Red Army direction of the North Caucasus Military District using the Krasnopol-M2 high-precision munition. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 10.
Having received target coordinates from reconnaissance units and operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the grouping, the Msta-B gun's calculation performed pointing and accurate fire worked on the concentration of the AFU's manpower at a distance of more than 15 kilometers.
Correction and control of target engagement was performed by the Orlan-30 UAV calculation.
"Today we destroyed a dugout in which a group of the AFU, preventing the further passage of our troops. The target was hit, the composition inside the dugout was destroyed," said platoon commander Pavel Kipriyanov.
After accomplishing the combat task, the servicemen camouflaged the gun and promptly headed for cover.
Earlier, on January 8, the "Hyacinth-S" calculation destroyed an AFU stronghold in the Krasnoarmeysk direction. It is reported that having received the coordinates of the targets, which were identified with the help of reconnaissance drones, the Hyacinth-S calculation successfully hit the enemy's fortifications with a minimum number of shots.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
