The crew of the Su-34 multirole supersonic fighter-bomber of the Air and Space Forces has struck a strike against the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) manpower and a stronghold in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 10.

The strike was carried out on reconnaissance targets with aviation bombs with a universal planning and correction module (UMPK).

After an advanced aviation spotter confirmed the destruction of the target, the crew returned safely to the departure airfield.

Earlier, on January 9, a Ka-52 crew struck at AFU equipment and a stronghold in the Kursk region. While supporting the units of the "North" group of forces, the pilots of the army aviation worked according to the coordinates of the aviation gunner and hit the stronghold, equipment and personnel of the AFU.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
