A turtle named TipTow, which weighs 79 kg, escaped from the fire in Palisades. This is stated by NBC News on January 9 with reference to the social networks of the resident of California.

TipTow, wrapped in a blanket with burn marks, is now at Dorn's home in Marina del Rey surrounded by three generations of her family and their pets.
