The CEO of Coulson Aviation said his company is contracting three Chinook Helitankers - large twin-rotor dumping helicopters - in California. These machines have already dropped 200,000 liters of water on the Palisades fire and another 200,000 liters on the Sunset fire.
"Canada is mobilizing to help fight wildfires in Southern California. Canadian water bombers are already in action. 250 firefighters are ready to deploy," Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau informed online X.
