Junior Sergeant Budazhapov pulled a vehicle out from under AFU fire in the SSO zone

Junior Sergeant Bimba Budazhapov was carrying out a task to deliver logistical equipment to Russian servicemen and escaped from under the artillery fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On Friday, January 10, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of Russian army servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).
Budazhapov was on his way to a destination point not far from the line of contact when his vehicle was attacked by FPV drones and enemy artillery. The junior sergeant's truck contained ammunition that could detonate if it was hit by an enemy shell. Budazhapov extinguished the vehicle's headlights and began maneuvering to escape the fire. The night darkness allowed him to drive the vehicle out of the danger zone and deliver the ammunition to the destination point in time.
"For heroism, personal courage, bravery and selflessness shown in the performance of military duty during a special military operation, Junior Sergeant Bimba Budazhapov is presented for awarding the medal "For strengthening the combat commonwealth"," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The ministry also noted the courage and selflessness of Sergei Alexandrov, commander of the mortar-howitzer battery of the BARS-32 detachment. He was in charge of the guns while providing fire support to the squad during the battle, when the enemy broke through to the mortar battery under Alexandrov's command and tried to eliminate the guns. The AFU attacked the battery with artillery and FPV drones.
Aleksandrov led the defense and managed to inflict significant damage to the enemy. During the battle, the commander's comrade-in-arms was wounded, and Aleksandrov gave the soldier first aid. As a result, the AFU suffered heavy losses and were forced to retreat.
Earlier, on January 9, it was reported that Guards Corporal Vladimir Averin as part of a unit of attack aircraft carried out tasks to provide medical assistance to wounded Russian servicemen. When the battle was over, Averin organized the evacuation of the injured to a safe place for further treatment.
Before that, on January 7, it was reported that Lieutenant Ilya Solovyev, as part of the Msta-B howitzer crew, provided artillery support to Russian servicemen during the assault on an AFU stronghold and destroyed enemy fortifications.
