Rada deputy said about the danger of mobilization of workers of critical enterprises

Verkhovna Rada MP Oleksandr Fedienko has announced that employees of critically important enterprises in Ukraine may be mobilized from March. This was reported by the Strana.ua news and analysis website on 9 January.
It is specified that after February 28, the heads of enterprises will have the opportunity to rebook their employees within 72 hours, and in this period of time workers can be mobilized.
"After February 28, using the portal "Diya", the heads of the enterprise will have the opportunity to rebook their workers within 72 hours. But the same territorial manning center (TCC, an analogue of the military enlistment office. - Ed.) has the right to mobilize these persons liable for military service," he said.
Earlier in the day, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in final reading a bill on basic military training, which excluded the mobilization of women in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The Ukrainian parliament adopted an amendment on basic military training, which is conducted for women on a voluntary basis, as well as military registration.
Martial law in Ukraine has been in effect since February 2022. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are forbidden to leave the country. In April 2024, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose term of office expired on 20 May 2024, approved a law on tougher mobilization.
