More than 80 drunk drivers were detected on the roads of the Tula region over the weekend

On the roads of the Tula region on New Year's weekend stopped 88 drunk motorists. This is reported by TSN24 with reference to the regional State Automobile Inspectorate.

Thus, from January 1 to 8, inspectors stopped 40 intoxicated drivers, 11 motorists intoxicated and without a driver's license, as well as 27 drivers who refused to undergo medical examination. There were 10 drivers who refused to undergo medical examination and did not have a driver's license.

In addition, as it turned out, nine drivers had been previously prosecuted for driving under the influence of intoxicants. For a repeated violation in their respect they have collected materials of inspection on the signs of a crime under Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Earlier in the day "Izvestia" was informed in the State Automobile Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia that from January 1 to January 8 , 1842 accidents occurred on the roads of the country , in which 265 people were killed and 2697 injured.
