Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said on Thursday, January 9, at a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with members of the government that a number of proposals have been prepared to support the country's residents under the state program "Family Mortgage".

"We are preparing a number of proposals on how we can still support citizens, especially on family mortgages, on demography, on small towns where there is no construction today. We have prepared with the Ministry of Finance, banks, we are working very actively. We can report to you separately - there are interesting proposals, we hope for your support", - he said.

Khusnullin noted that the volume of mortgage issuance in Russia has decreased due to the growth of the key rate. He said that the issue of limits on family mortgages has been resolved and now the possibility of extending this program to secondary housing is being considered. Work is also underway to remove restrictions on the granting of mortgage loans to make them more accessible to the population.

Earlier, on December 26 last year, Husnullin said that the Ministry of Finance and credit institutions instructed to remove limits on the state program of family mortgage. Previously, banks, having exhausted the limited amount of funds, waited to issue a new one, but now the money is allocated according to the application from banks.

Putin during the "Results of the Year" December 19, said that the family mortgage should definitely be preserved and not have a limit. In addition, the president confirmed that the preferential mortgage will continue to operate not only for families with children, but also for IT-specialists, residents of the Far East, the Arctic zone and new territories.
