- Interior Ministry: fraudsters have mastered two schemes for accessing "State Services"

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on Thursday, January 9, told about two new schemes for fraudsters to gain access to "Gosusluga" to steal money.
In the first, the attackers call the victim, posing as telecom operators, and ask for a code from the message under the pretext of renewing the contract. In fact, this code gives access to the personal account of "Gosusluga". Having received it, they change the password and leave the fraudsters' phone number in the tip.
Then, after calling this number, the victim is convinced that through her account someone is trying to make loans and the money must be urgently transferred to a "safe account" in order to "save" them.
In the second scheme, the attackers re-issue a subscriber number that was previously used and is now for sale. After registering the number for themselves, they restore the password to the "Gosuslugi" account tied to this number via a one-time code. At the same time, the legitimate owner may not notice the hack, as access to the application is preserved.
Having gained access to "Gosuslugi", fraudsters issue online microloans and loans, applying to credit bureaus, obtaining certificates and registering additional numbers with an electronic signature generated through the application "Goskluch", specified TASS in the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Earlier, on December 11 last year, Nikita Bliss, head of information security at Compare, told Izvestia about what to do in case of missing funds from a bank account. According to him, if the amount on the account has decreased, you can use the bank's mobile application, order an account statement or contact the support service.
