Putin asked to submit proposals on mortgage support as soon as possible

Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with members of the government on Thursday, January 9, asked to submit him proposals on mortgage measures as soon as possible to support both citizens and developers.
During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin drew attention to the fact that the volume of mortgage issuance has recently decreased and this is caused by the growth of the key rate in Russia. The government began to prepare a number of proposals to support citizens in this situation, especially on family mortgages and in small towns where there is currently no construction. The deputy head of the government noted that on this topic he would like to submit a separate report to the President.
"I would ask you to do it as soon as possible," Putin replied to Deputy Prime Minister.
Earlier, on December 26, 2024, Khusnullin said that the Ministry of Finance and credit institutions were instructed to remove limits on the state program of family mortgage. Previously, banks, having exhausted the limited amount of funds, waited to issue a new one, but now the money is allocated according to the application from banks.
Putin during the "Results of the Year" December 19, said that the family mortgage should definitely be preserved and not have a limit. In addition, the president confirmed that the preferential mortgage will continue to operate not only for families with children, but also for IT-specialists, residents of the Far East, the Arctic zone and new territories.
