Br4.5 trillion will be allocated for the new federal project "Modernization of Communal Infrastructure" until 2030. This was announced by Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 9.

"We envisage federal funding, about 53 billion rubles is in the program. So, now we are working on the development of design estimate documentation," he said.

The program provides for regional financing as well. According to Faizullin, it is required to bring up to 80% of the annual actual expenditure of funds of resource supplying organizations. It is assumed that 2 thousand objects will be completed by 2030.

The head of state specified that the most important element of the project is the modernization of drinking water supply facilities. He instructed to keep the matter under special control because of the acuteness of the problem in some regions.

Earlier in the day, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved a unified plan to achieve national development goals until 2030 and in the future until 2036. It was noted that the plan will become the main reference point in the work of the Cabinet of Ministers, ministries, departments, administrations, development institutions and state companies to fulfill the tasks set by the President.
