CNN reveals US and Ukraine plans to hold talks with Russian Federation even if Harris wins

Negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine would have started in the first half of this year even if the Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris had won the US presidential election. CNN reported on January 9 that.

"Administration officials say that both the U.S. administration and Ukraine foresee that in the first part of 2025 negotiations with Moscow could take place, regardless of who won the U.S. election," the publication said.

In addition, according to the TV channel, the main goal of the US administration was to strengthen Ukraine's capabilities before possible negotiations with the Russian Federation.

Trump's team said on Dec. 13 that it was discussing ending the Ukraine conflict with the current White House administration and Ukrainian officials. At the same time, Trump's special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg allowed the end of this crisis in the coming months.
