An F-16 fuel tank fell on a residential neighborhood in Florida

The fuel tank of an F-16 fighter jet fell on a residential neighborhood in the state of Florida. This was reported on January 9 by Air & Space Forces Magazine.

"The external fuel tank of the F-16 fell on the territory of Florida", - stated in the material.

It is noted that the tank was a volume of 300 gallons. At its fall no one was injured.

A representative of the Eglin Air Base said that the incident occurred on January 8 at about 11:00 local time (18:00 Moscow time). The tank landed in Naysville, which is located 3.5 miles (about 5.6 kilometers) northeast of the base.

Earlier, on September 26, 2024, an airship bearing the insignia of the local soccer team São Paulo fell on residential houses in the Brazilian city of Osaxo. One victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries. FC officials reported that the flying machine was rented from Airship do Brasil. The crew was making a test flight in preparation for a nighttime promotional event near the stadium.
