In Kherson region, a woman who passed information about the Russian Armed Forces to Ukraine was arrested

Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in Kherson Region have stopped the activity of an 18-year-old local resident who passed information to the paramilitary formation of Ukraine, she was arrested. This was reported in the press service of the agency on January 9.

It is established that the suspect collected and transferred to the curator information about the locations of military deployment of the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation on the territory of Kherson region in April 2023.

A criminal case under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High Treason") was initiated against the defendant. The suspect was elected a measure of restraint in the form of detention. According to the legislation, she faces up to 20 years of imprisonment.

At the current moment all the circumstances of illegal activities of the figurehead and the identification of her criminal ties are established.

Earlier, December 23, 2024, in the press service of the FSS of Russia in the Kherson region reported on the detention of a local resident who worked for the Ukrainian security services. It is noted that she established contact with a representative of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in 2023 and was collecting and transferring information about the places of concentration of forces and means of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the region.

A criminal case on "high treason" was opened on this fact, the defendant was taken into custody.
