Ambassador to Russia says authorities monitoring situation in Chad


The situation in the Chadian capital N'Djamena, where a shooting took place near the presidential palace, is under the control of the authorities. This statement was made by Chad's Ambassador to the Russian Federation Adam Beshir Mahamoud on January 9.
"The situation is fully under the control of the authorities," he told TASS.
The ambassador noted that there are no threats to the political stability of the state.
Theshooting near the presidential palace in N'Djamena took place the day before. The state's Infrastructure Minister Aziz Mahamat Saleh said the situation was under government control.
Later, the AFP news agency reported that one person was killed in the attack on the palace, 18 attackers were eliminated. Three more people were wounded.
