Musk criticized California authorities over fires in the state

American entrepreneur and billionaire Ilon Musk considers the California authorities the worst leaders in the United States because of the fires in Los Angeles. He said this on January 9 in the social network X (former Twitter).

It is specified that Musk responded to a publication in the social network, where the user wrote that California has the worst government among all US states.

The user believes that the devastating fires contributed to the "failed policy" of California Governor Gavin Newsom in the field of water and forest management.

On January 9, it was reported that rescue crews fighting multiple wildfires in Los Angeles, California, are running short of water. City officials have said that their municipal water systems are working efficiently. The problem is that they were designed to put out localized fires in the city, not to fight wildfires.

Earlier, on January 7, Los Angeles emergency services urged residents to be prepared to evacuate because of the wildfires raging in the state. NBC News reported that the fire started in the Eaton Canyon neighborhood. Strong winds fueled the fire.

At the same time in Los Angeles declared a state of emergency because of the fire situation. It was reported that 27 thousand residents of Pacific Palisades called for forced evacuation.
