Teams of firefighters from other U.S. states have arrived in California


Emergency workers from several other U.S. states have arrived in the state of California to fight forest fires. This was reported by the Associated Press(AP) on Wednesday, January 8.
Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone spoke at a news conference where he announced that 60 teams from Oregon, 45 from Washington State, 15 from Utah and 10 from New Mexico had already arrived or would soon arrive in the state. Also, he said, a significant number of firefighters have been dispatched from Arizona.
Earlier, on January 8, incumbent US President Joe Biden declared a major disaster mode in the state due to the wildfires. He also ordered the release of federal aid to the victims.

On the same day in Los Angeles declared a state of emergency because of the fire situation. It was reported that 27 thousand residents of Pacific Palisades are called for forced evacuation.
