The "Hyacinth" calculations of the "West" group of forces hit AFU strongholds and personnel

Artillery crews of Hyacinth-S self-propelled cannons of the All-Union Army of the All-Union Army Group Zapad have hit camouflaged platoon strongholds and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) while carrying out firing missions. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 9.

The scouts with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) identified the targets and transmitted the exact coordinates to the control center. After that, a decision was made to launch artillery strikes at the transmitted coordinates.

After the live firing, the artillerymen changed their firing positions to alternate ones in order to replenish their ammunition and avoid return fire. Real-time objective control footage obtained from the UAVs confirmed the destruction of the targets.

"We work mainly on infantry, armored vehicles and enemy strongholds so that our guys can move forward. After the work is finished, we immediately turn off and go to shelters. We hit about 28 kilometers. We have a well-coordinated formation, everyone knows his task. We act as one fine-tuned mechanism. <...> The infantry is satisfied, we help the infantry, we hit. There is nothing better than gratitude from the guys for the work done", - said the commander of the gun with the call sign Sulim.

How fighters of the "Center" group prepare for assault operations

Earlier, on January 8, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of objective control, on which the FPV drone calculations of the reconnaissance unit of the 20th Guards All-Russian Army of the Army Group "West" destroyed AFU vehicles in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). Objective control in real time was carried out by aerial reconnaissance means.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
