Ukraine reported about strengthening of borders with Belarus


Ukraine is installing fortifications and checkpoints on the border with Belarus in Volyn Region. A representative of the Ukrainian State Border Service, Andriy Demchenko, told the Ukrainian mass media on 8 January.
"We are actively paying attention to the border with Belarus as well, because this direction is a threatening one for us. In this section, in addition to engineering reinforcement, there is also the creation of fortifications, strongholds, firing positions, a system of trenches and trenches, so that our soldiers who are in this direction, had every opportunity to counteract any threat, if such will occur again from the territory of Belarus," - said Demchenko.
According to him, the video surveillance system will be improved on the border.
Earlier, January 6, press secretary of the Belarusian head of state Natalia Eismont said that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko had not apologized to Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky (term expired on May 20, 2024) during the first days of the special military operation (SMO).
