Biden says he can beat Trump in the presidential election

The current US President Joe Biden said that he could defeat the elected American leader Donald Trump in the past elections in 2024. He told USA Today newspaper on January 8.
"It sounds like it, but I think so," Biden said when asked if he could have won if he had not withdrawn from the campaign in July.
Still, Biden expressed doubts about his ability to remain in office for another four years and his physical and cognitive abilities.
"So far so good. But who knows what I'll be when I'm 86 years old?" - Biden said.
The day before, on January 7, Trump said Biden was doing everything he could to make the transition of power more difficult. However, the current US administration later denied accusations of obstructing the process of transferring power to the US leader-elect.
On the same day, the US Congress officially declared Trump the winner of the 60th presidential election. The politician's victory was announced by his rival in the November 5 elections, the current US Vice President Kamala Harris, who is the head of the Senate.
The election of the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5, 2024. In the popular vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Harris received 47.4%. Later, Trump, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th president of the United States and said that he considers his goal as head of state to be to end military conflicts in the world.
