The Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday, January 8, published objective control footage showing FPV drone calculations of the reconnaissance unit of the 20th Guards All-Russian Army of the "Zapad" group of forces destroyed Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) vehicle equipment in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).

"With the help of aerial reconnaissance means it was revealed the movement along the forest belts near the settlement of Terny of two units of AFU automotive equipment, traveling to their positions to bring supplies," the ministry said in a statement.

Having analyzed the intelligence, the military decided to strike at the enemy vehicles. Calculations of FPV-drones of the reconnaissance battalion of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division promptly destroyed the targets and disrupted the delivery of supplies to the Ukrainian militants.

Objective control in real time was conducted by aerial reconnaissance assets.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of an FPV drone used by the reconnaissance unit of the "North" group of forces in Kharkiv Region to hit an AFU pickup truck carrying Ukrainian fighters for rotation. The target was successfully destroyed.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
