Japan has predicted a drop in the birth rate

In Japan, where the birth rate of children continues to fall, by 2720 there will be one child under 14 years old. The Japan Times reported this on Jan. 8, citing calculations by Tohoku University professor Hiroshi Yoshida.
"By Jan. 5, 2720, there will be only one child aged 14 or younger in the country," he said.
Prof. Tohoku has been publishing such data since 2012. The latest calculations were based on Japan's 2024 fertility statistics.
In January last year, the British newspaper The Times reported that Ukraine had become the world's anti-leader in terms of birth rate. According to the study, on average, there are 0.7 children per Ukrainian woman of reproductive age (from 15 to 50 years old). At the same time, Ukraine's life expectancy among men is 57-58 years, which is one of the lowest in the world.
