The fire had spread to more than 200 acres (80.9 hectares) by midday and was particularly affecting the Pacific Palisades Highlands, according to Eric Scott, a spokesman for the city's fire department.
On the same day, the city of Los Angeles declared a state of emergency due to the wildfires. It was reported that 27 thousand local residents of Pacific Palisades were called for forced evacuation.
