"The fire broke out tonight in the Eaton Canyon neighborhood near Altadena and Pasadena. According to fire officials, it is fueled by high winds and evacuations have been ordered because of this," the report reads.
Firefighters are reportedly working hard to slow the spread of the fire.
On January 8, emergency services of Los Angeles (California) urged residents to be ready to evacuate due to fires. The fire had spread to more than 200 acres (80.9 hectares) by midday and was particularly affecting the Pacific Palisades Highlands, according to Eric Scott, a spokesman for the city's fire department.
On the same day, the city of Los Angeles declared a state of emergency due to the wildfires. It was reported that 27 thousand local residents of Pacific Palisades were called for forced evacuation.
