A Russian stormtrooper on a motorcycle carried 12 wounded fighters from the front line
A soldier of the "Borz" assault unit of the motorized rifle brigade of the Southern Group of Forces has taken 12 wounded comrades from the battlefield in Kurakhovo on a motorcycle, saving their lives. This was reported by RIA Novosti on January 8.
"During the Kurakhovo operation I took out 12 fighters, four of them were "heavy" very, here on this motorcycle I took out. The rest of them more or less, well managed to still take out, everything is good, not a single comrade was not lost, I took everyone out, everything turned out well," - said the storm trooper with the call sign Katrang.
He added that during the evacuation of fighters he had to bypass unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and mortar shells. According to the soldier, he had to change routes rapidly, going into vegetable gardens and fields. Katrang noted that he had to act instantly, almost without stopping.
"I help, if someone else is there, they help the same way. They put him on the motorcycle for me. And I'm fast, fast, it's straight through instantly. I can't stop for a minute. It's all passing instantly. Everybody put him on me fast. If somehow tied, something else, the backpack took and quickly left," - added the stormtrooper.
Earlier, on January 6, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian army liberated Kurakhovo. The ministry said that this is the largest city in the southwest of Donbass. During the fighting to liberate the settlement, the AFU lost more than 12,000 people and about 3,000 weapons and military equipment, including 40 tanks and other armored vehicles.
At the same time, footage was published on which Russian fighters, liberating Kurakhovo, destroyed at least 18 units of Ukrainian equipment, which was located in forest belts and among residential houses.
On the same day, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the Russian military on the liberation of the city, emphasizing the courage and determination of the actions of the 110th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade in Kurakhovo. The liberation of the city, as the head of the Defense Ministry noted, will become a symbol of courage and steadfastness of the Russian military.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
