Three drones shot down over the Bryansk region by air defense forces
Air defense forces shot down three drones over the Bryansk region. This was reported in his Telegram-channel by the governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz on Wednesday, January 8.
"Three enemy UAVs of aircraft type have been detected and destroyed by the air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry over the Bryansk region," the report said.
No casualties or damage were recorded as a result of the thwarted attack. Emergency services arrived at the site of the drones' fall.
Earlier, on January 6, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces destroyed 12 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over Russian regions during the night. It was specified that seven UAVs were shot down over the Kursk region, two each over the Belgorod and Bryansk regions, and one over the Republic of Crimea.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories amid the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
