American billionaire Ilon Musk wants to buy English soccer club Liverpool. This fact was confirmed on January 7 by the entrepreneur's father Errol Musk on Times Radio.

"Yes, Ilon would like to buy the club. But that doesn't mean he would buy it. He would like to, yes, of course he would. Anyone would want to. Me too!" - The Daily Mail quotes Elon Musk's father as saying.

When asked why Musk is so interested in Liverpool, his father said their family has longstanding ties to the Merseyside county's largest city.

"His grandmother was born in Liverpool and we had relatives from there, we were lucky enough to know quite a few members of The Beatles because they grew up with some of my family. So we're attached to Liverpool, you know," Errol Musk said.

The publication reports that if the billionaire is serious about buying Liverpool FC, he will make an offer to current owner John Henry, who also owns MLB team Boston Red Sox and NHL team Pittsburgh Penguins.

Earlier in the day, American billionaire Ilon Musk called the head of the British government Keir Starmer evil. The entrepreneur made such a statement against the background of accusations against the British authorities in covering up the crimes of gangs that were involved in mass rapes of underage girls.

Earlier, on January 6, Ilon Musk said that the US should free the citizens of the UK from tyranny in the rule of Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The entrepreneur attached a poll to the publication, requiring agreement or denial of this position.
