39 gondola cars with coal derailed on the railroad in Khabarovsk region. This was reported on January 7 by the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department on Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

It is specified that the incident occurred on Monday, January 6, near the station of the 16th Razezd 16 of the 461st km of the yellow-rail line connecting Elga coal deposit and the port of Elga. There are no casualties as a result of the incident, the amount of damage due to the accident is being established.

"Investigators of the Eastern MSUT of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia is conducting an investigation on the signs of a crime under part 1 of article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of railway transport")", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the department.

At the moment, verification measures are being carried out to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, on January 1, in the area of Uchaly station of the South Ural Railway, four freight cars with ore derailed during shunting operations, two of them overturned. There were no casualties as a result of the accident. An investigation into the accident is underway.
