This is evidenced by a publication on the organization's website on January 7.
"We call for an independent investigation to establish who is behind the attack and to find out to what extent it was deliberately directed against media workers," said the IFJ and EFJ (European Federation of Journalists).
The organizations reminded that journalists as civilians have the right to protection under any circumstances in the context of armed conflicts in accordance with international humanitarian law.

The chairman of the Union of Journalists of Russia (SZhR) in the republic, Viktor Petrenko, said that the deceased war correspondent should be buried in the Alley of Heroes in Donetsk.
Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyanskiy said that the incident would be discussed at the next UN Security Council (UNSC) meeting on Ukraine.
