- The plane flying to Samarkand landed in Vnukovo due to the stabilizer indication going off
The Utair airline plane, flying from St. Petersburg to Samarkand, landed unplanned at Moscow's Vnukovo airport due to the stabilizer indication activation. This was reported in the press service of Utair on January 7.
"On the flight St. Petersburg - Samarkand the stabilizer indication went off. In the interests of safety, the commander decided to land in Vnukovo," the airline said.
The plane circled over the airport for some time, generating fuel, according to the rules. Later Utair added that the landing took place normally at 15:51 Moscow time, no one on board was injured, and on the ground the plane cleared the runway on its own.
The airline is preparing a reserve flight to take passengers to Samarkand.
Earlier, on January 4, a Ural Airlines plane bound for Yekaterinburg made an emergency landing at Sharm el-Sheikh airport in Egypt. Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft developed a malfunction in one of the engines. There were 236 passengers on board and they were accommodated in the airport's international departure lounge.
Later, the airline noted that a reserve flight was prepared for the passengers of the plane. It left Sharm el-Sheikh airport in Egypt and flew to Ekaterinburg on January 4 at 12:37 Moscow time. On the same day, Rosaviatsia said that the incident with the Ural Airlines plane would be investigated.
