Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have made their divorce official

Singer Jennifer Lopez and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck have officially finalized their divorce. This was reported by People magazine on January 7.

According to the publication, the couple reached an agreement on financial issues related to the divorce, 20 weeks after filing for divorce. Affleck and Lopez decided that each of them will receive the property acquired during their life together.

They have also agreed on a joint home, but details of the agreement have not been specified. The estate is currently up for sale, the magazine clarified.

About the fact that Lopez filed for divorce, it became known on August 20, 2024. The singer took the documents personally to the district court of Los Angeles. The reason for the divorce could be the difference in characters.

Before that, the media wrote that they could not see each other for weeks. The publications claimed that Affleck again began to have problems with alcohol and he allegedly realizes that the divorce is imminent. In May, Lopez responded to the divorce rumors with the phrase: "You know better".

In June, Affleck was spotted without a wedding ring. Most of the summer, the spouses were on different coasts of the United States. They spent apart even the day of the wedding anniversary. Moreover, the actor did not attend Lopez's anniversary on July 24.
