Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. You can track the progress of the joint troops of Russia, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DNR and LNR), as well as see a map of military operations as of January 7 in the Izvestiya piece.

According to the agency, units of the Center group of troops have improved their tactical position. The fighters defeated personnel and equipment of the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of the settlements of Druzhba, Panteleymonovka, Mirolyubovka, Shcherbinovka, Dzerzhinsk, Vozdvizhenka, Shevchenko, Alexandropol, Dyleyevka and Volkoko of the Donetsk People's Republic.

The enemy in this direction lost up to 510 servicemen.

Operative-tactical aviation, attack UAVs, missile troops and artillery hit the infrastructure of military airfields, weapons depots, as well as accumulations of manpower and equipment of AFU armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 164 areas.

The air defense also shot down six rockets of the American-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system and 50 drones of the aircraft type.

In total, since the beginning of the special operation, 652 planes, 283 helicopters, 39,618 unmanned aerial vehicles, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems, 20,280 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,507 multiple rocket launchers, 20,270 field artillery and mortars, 29,955 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
