A serviceman spoke about the cultural life of the fighters in their free time

A soldier of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Artist, who has extensive creative experience under his belt, told Izvestia on January 7 about his ability to use his talents in a challenging environment during a special military operation (SMO).

The deputy with the call sign Artist served in the Omsk Musical Theater for 12 years. At the beginning of the SWO he went to serve as a driver in the already fighting troops, volunteered, and then transferred to the group of unmanned aerial vehicles.

During combat, he keeps the soldiers' spirits up with song, but his professional vocals lose quality.

"Daily training. A certain diet, sleep, nutrition. It is impossible to do it here," he commented in a conversation with Izvestia correspondent Dmitry Zimenkin.

In addition, performing also the duties of deputy commander for work with personnel, Artist on a pair with a colleague zampolite collected in the unit a small library for the fighters.

"He comes, takes a book and reads in the evenings. Even those fighters who have never read before are starting to read," he said.

After the victory, Artist plans to return to the theater and put on plays on the theme of the NWO. Performing daily the hard work of a serviceman, not at all similar to his former life of applause and spotlight, the Artist has no doubt that he was able to set his priorities right.

"Our fighters have their own home behind them, literally."
