Private Kladov detected and eliminated an AFU FPV drone

Private Stanislav Kladov, being part of a self-propelled artillery mortar crew, detected and eliminated an FPV drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) approaching the mortar crew's position. On Tuesday, January 7, the Russian Defense Ministry told about new feats of Russian servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).
During the battle, while firing at a Ukrainian stronghold, Kladov was the first to detect the FPV drone, and then, having oriented himself, opened aimed fire at it with small arms. The AFU FPV drone detonated in mid-air, causing no harm to the crew or the gun.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the selflessness and heroism of Private Andrei Plusnin, who during the ensuing skirmish stealthily outflanked the AFU sabotage group and hit an equipped firing point with the machine gun crew there.
Deprived of machine gun support, the Ukrainian sabotage group, suffering losses, was forced to hastily leave its position and retreat.
Earlier, on January 6, the Russian Defense Ministry noted the work of Sergeant Ivan Kornilovskikh, who, commanding an automatic grenade launcher, was tasked with providing fire support to an assault group on the line of contact. Upon arrival in the assigned area, he set up a firing point at a dominant height, after which the squad engaged in combat.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
