U.S. Vice President-elect James David Vance did not answer whether White House chief-elect Donald Trump intends to hold a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Relax, guys," Vance replied to a reporter's question after a joint session of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, which was covered by CNN's YouTube channel on January 6.

Earlier in the day, the US Congress officially declared United States President-elect Donald Trump the winner of the 60th presidential election. The Republican's victory was approved without any objections.

In an interview with American journalist Lex Friedman, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (term expired May 20, 2024) said he was ready to hold talks with the United States and European countries on conflict resolution.

The election of the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5, 2024. In the popular vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Harris received 47.4%. Later, Trump, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world.
