Hegelsky was not limited to the literary field: he traveled to polar expeditions, taught at his own survival school VESTIGATOR. Relatives and friends of the deceased were sure that he went on another trip or conducts trainings for his students.
Confirmed the words of the wife of the poet and Honored Artist of Russia Nikolai Noskov.
"We did not know that Oleg left to fight in the zone of the NWO. He did not inform anyone about it. And we called him, was unavailable. Thought that as always he is on a trip or expedition traveling, gaining inspiration. I wanted to offer to write verses for a new song, I felt that my soul was asking for it. Great Russian Poet! Thinker, seeker and warrior! Died defending our homeland in the Kursk land", - he shared with "Izvestia".
According to the wife of the poet, she learned about the death of her husband when she received a call from the unit in which he served. The servicemen explained that the identification was taking place. Later, the body of Hegelsky was returned to the family.
The deceased served in hot spots - he was in Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Chechnya. His wife said that the war-themed poems he wrote were timeless, because the hardships people go through in such conditions are always the same.
"It was a combat mission where he was a team leader. The documents state that he died in the line of duty," Polina explained.
