Footage of the Russian Armed Forces repelling an AFU counterattack in the Kursk border region has emerged

On Monday, January 6, fighters of the Burevestnik volunteer unit provided Izvestia with footage of the Russian army repelling a counterattack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region.

The video clips show the movement of a column of military equipment of the Ukrainian army. After a strike by Russian servicemen, the vehicles caught fire.

The target was successfully eliminated.

Earlier in the day, the crew of the Ka-52M helicopter destroyed a live force, armored vehicles and a stronghold of AFU units in the border area of Kursk region. Army aviation pilots launched missiles according to the coordinates of the aviation spotter. Subsequently, the advanced aviation spotter confirmed the destruction of the targets.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
