Ka-52M helicopter crew destroys AFU stronghold in Kursk border region

The crew of a Ka-52M helicopter has destroyed live forces, armored vehicles and a stronghold of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) units in the border area of Kursk Region. The work of the army aviation was shown by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 6.
"In the course of the combat mission to support units of the North group, the pilots of the army aviation performed missile launches according to the coordinates of the aviation gunner and destroyed armored vehicles, a stronghold and personnel of the AFU," the ministry specified.
The advanced air gunner confirmed the destruction of targets. The crew also performed anti-missile maneuvering at extremely low altitude with the firing of heat traps.
Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported that the crew of a Russian Air and Space Forces (AFS) Su-34 multirole supersonic fighter-bomber struck AFU personnel, armored vehicles and a stronghold in the Kursk border region. The strike on the reconnaissance targets was carried out by aerial bombs with a universal planning and correction module (UMPK).
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory are being liquidated.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
