Belgian military police have detained a man with a knife who tried to enter Prime Minister Alexander De Croo's office in Brussels. This was reported by RTL on January 6.
It is specified that the man was detained around 10:00 local time (12:00 Moscow time), no one was hurt. In addition, he threatened police officers.
At the current moment the attacker is in the police station, the motives for his actions are not yet known.
"We together with the police are closely monitoring the situation. We are glad that no one was hurt as a result of the incident," - RTL quotes the Prime Minister.
It is noted that De Croo's office was holding talks on the new federal government.
Earlier, on December 4, 2024, Georgian police detained one of the leaders of the opposition party "Akhali" Nika Gvaramia, who tried to get into the party office during the ongoing searches. It is noted that he was detained as a result of a conflict with law enforcement officers.
