The Russian military has completely liberated the town of Kurakhovo, located in the southwestern part of Donbas. This was reported by the Defense Ministry on January 6.
"In the course of active offensive operations, units of the southern group of troops have completely liberated the town of Kurakhovo - the largest population center in the southwestern part of Donbass," the statement said.
The agency specified that as a result of the combat work of the Russian troops in the liberation of the settlement, the enemy lost 80% of manpower (more than 12,000 people), about 3,000 units of weapons and military equipment, including 40 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles. It is noted that the city for 10 years has been turned into a powerful fortification with a developed network of firing positions and underground communications.
