In Moscow by the end of 2024, the most scarce profession in Moscow is that of a salesperson

According to the results of 2024, the profession of a salesperson in Moscow has become the most scarce. This is reported on January 6 by the results of a study of the online recruiting platform hh.ru, the results of which are available to TASS.

It is reported that the deficit of storekeepers, painters and merchandisers also increased in the capital compared to 2023.

Experts presented the platform with indices, they show how many resumes responded to one vacancy. Values from 2 to 3.9 indicate a shortage of candidates, and indexes below 1.9 indicate a critical shortage.

For example, for salespeople, the hh.index in 2023 was 1.8, and in 2024 it is already 1.2. Low indicators are observed in janitors (1.5), merchandisers (1.6) and auto mechanics (1.9).

Earlier, on November 16, the results of a study of online recruiting platform hh.ru showed that the profession of a janitor has become the most scarce on the labor market in Russia. Thus, the hh.ru index for janitors is only 0.7. Also low indexes are observed in turners, welders and sales consultants (1.1), electricians (1.9), machinists and pharmacist-provisors (2.3), storekeepers and couriers (2.4), as well as cleaners (2.5).
