Team USA in the final of the World Youth Championship - 2025 (WYC-2025) defeated the national hockey team of Finland in overtime with a score of 4:3. The match was held on January 6 at the Canadien Tire Center in Ottawa.

Forwards James Hagans, Brandon Svoboda and Teddy Stiga and defenseman Cole Hutson scored for the winners. For the Finnish team the pucks were scored by forwards Jesse Kiiskinen, Tuomas Uronen and defenseman Emil Pieniniemi.

The U.S. team won the tournament for the second year in a row. In total, the U.S. team has won the championship seven times in its history.

Earlier, on January 4, the U.S. youth national team defeated the Czech Republic in the semifinals with a score of 4:1, which ensured its entry into the finals. Gabe Perreault, Cole Eiserman, Ryan Leonard and Oliver Moore scored for the Americans. The only goal for the Czech opponents was scored by Filip Stanzl.
