A man died when a car fell into the river in the Leningrad region. About it on January 5 reported in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"Today at 17:10 on the highway St. Petersburg - Sverdlova - Vsevolozhsk in Vsevolozhsky district of Leningrad region 26-year-old driver of "UAZ Patriot" failed to cope with management and made a collision with the fence with the subsequent exit of the car into the river Chernaya", - stated in the message.
It is specified that the driver died on the spot. On the fact of the incident is being checked.
The source of "Izvestia" reported that the accident occurred near the village of Novosaratovka in the rural settlement of Sverdlovskoye. The car is being pulled out of the river.
Earlier in the day, the regional Center for Civil Defense, Fire Safety and Emergency Situations told Izvestia that two people were killed and seven injured in a traffic accident near Samara. An interlocutor of the publication said that the accident occurred in Bolsheglushitsky district.
