"Golden Globe" for Best Supporting Actor was awarded to Kieran Culkin, who played in the comedy "True Grief". The broadcast of the award ceremony is conducted by the television channel CBS.

Russian actor Yura Borisov for his role in the movie "Anora", Edward Norton for his role in the movie "Perfect Stranger", Denzel Washington, who played in the second part of the movie "Gladiator", as well as Guy Pearce ("The Brutalist") and Jeremy Strong ("The Apprentice") also claimed the award in this category.

The 82nd Golden Globe Awards takes place on January 5, 2025 in Los Angeles.

Earlier, on December 9, 2024, it became known that the Russian actor Yuri Borisov became a nominee for the Golden Globe Award. The film "Anora" received nominations in the categories "Best film (musical/comedy)", "Best screenplay in a movie". The film's director Sean Baker was nominated in the Best Director category.

Last May, the film "Anora" won the Palme d'Or at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. The ceremony of announcing the winners was held at the Palais des Festivals. Actors Yuri Borisov and Mark Eidelstein played some of the main roles, Alexei Serebryakov and Ekamasova - episodic.
