Rosgvardiya takes part in repelling the AFU offensive in Kursk region

Rosgvardiya fighters repel attacks by Ukrainian militants in the Kursk region, a tank and a mine-clearing vehicle were destroyed. This was reported in the press service of the agency on January 5.
Spetsnaz is involved in repelling the offensive of militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and also carries out continuous monitoring of the border area of Kursk region with the help of drones.
The military has already destroyed a mine-clearing vehicle, with the help of which Ukrainian militants were trying to clear a mine fence. In addition, special forces eliminated an enemy tank. As specified in Rosgvardia, the AFU assault group, which included two tanks, a demolition vehicle and 12 armored combat vehicles with paratroopers, tried to attack the border area.
Earlier, on January 3, in the Kursk region, special forces of the Rosgvardiya detected and destroyed an AFU stronghold. The drones were used to destroy AFU personnel, a vehicle and positions of neo-Nazis in one of the districts of the region.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian President on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
