T-80 crew destroyed an AFU stronghold on the Donetsk direction

The crew of a T-80 tank of the separate tank battalion of the 51st Guards All-Russian Army has destroyed a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Donetsk region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 6.
The tankers hit both living forces and dugouts, armored vehicles, supporting the work of assault units. On a combat mission, the fighters made a dash to the line of contact, crossing open areas at high speed. In this way they deprive Ukrainian fighters of the ability to track the tank.
"The most important thing at the gunner-operator, that is, correctly and accurately set the corrections, that is, azimuth and sight, so that hits were accurate. It even happens, he says, add a hair, a hair less, because quite accurately the tank hits. Well, most often now we work from closed firing positions, as it is more profitable now. At the moment, they have started to roll back well enough," said the operator with the call sign Kopchenyy.
He also noted that the tankers work from closed firing positions, which is more favorable. After accomplishing the combat task, the crew withdraws the tank to prevent the AFU reconnaissance from detecting it. The work is carried out around the clock.
"My crew is quite well-coordinated, young guys, but they have already had time to participate from the very first days in the SVO. We understand each other half-heartedly," said the tank commander with the call sign Kasper.
Earlier, on December 27, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that crews of the T-80BVM tank hit AFU firing points in Zaporizhzhya region. The tankers provided fire support to motorized rifle units in the Zaporizhzhya direction. The coordinates of the targets were obtained from drone operators conducting reconnaissance in the tank unit's area of responsibility.
