Su-34 crew strikes at AFU equipment and stronghold in Kursk border area


The crew of a Su-34 multirole supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Air and Space Forces (AFS) has struck personnel, armored vehicles and a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on January 6.
It is noted that the strike on the reconnaissance targets was carried out by aviation bombs with a universal planning and correction module (UMPK). The crew, having received confirmation from intelligence about the destruction of personnel, equipment and a Ukrainian army stronghold, returned safely to the airfield of departure.
On the eve, January 5, it was reported that the crew of the Mi-28NM helicopter disrupted the rotation of the AFU in the border area of Kursk region. The pilots, performing a combat mission to support ground troops, launched missiles according to the gunner's coordinates and destroyed personnel and armored vehicles of Ukrainian fighters.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
