Five people are dead in a shooting at a bar in Mexico


A shooting occurred in a bar in the southeast of Mexico, five people were killed, seven others were injured, including one minor. This was reported on January 5 by the newspaper El Heraldo with reference to the government.
It is specified that the tragedy occurred in the evening on Saturday, January 4, in the city of Villahermosa in the state of Tabasco. In a bar called La Casita Azul, which is located in the neighborhood of Tamulte de las Barrancas, unidentified people burst into the bar and then opened fire on visitors.
According to the newspaper, Tabasco state government spokesman Fernando Vazquez Rosas confirmed the deaths of five people and injuries to seven others in the shooting.
The newspaper specified that among the injured was a 17-year-old boy, and one of the wounded died on arrival at the hospital.
Law enforcement officials in Mexico have launched a search operation to find those responsible for the killing. The area around the bar has been cordoned off and all circumstances are being investigated.

According to local authorities, five people died on the spot, another victim died in hospital. It was noted that the gunmen entered the bar in the state of Tabasco "looking for a specific person," but the shots hit those nearby.
