Lack of space centers in the United States threatens to delay space launches. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on January 5.

Right now in the States, most rockets are launched from three sites in California and Florida.

"Government officials and industry executives fear that congestion at launch sites could prevent timely delivery of payloads to space," the material said.

It was specified that at the moment the new small spaceports are trying to expand.

Earlier, on January 4, the Falcon 9 launch vehicle of SpaceX put into orbit the telecommunications satellite of the United Arab Emirates Thuraya 4.

Prior to that, on December 4 last year, SpaceX said that a Falcon 9 rocket carried 24 mini-satellites into orbit for the Starlink system's Internet coverage network.

On November 6, 2024, SpaceX launched a launch vehicle carrying a Cargo Dragon spacecraft with cargo for the ISS. The Falcon 9 launch vehicle lifted off from the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 21:30 US East Coast time (05:30 Moscow time).
