Air defense means destroyed 11 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Ukrainian army over the Belgorod and Kursk regions on the evening of January 5. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The attacks were prevented between 18:00 and 21:00.

Nine drones were shot down over the Belgorod region, two more - over the Kursk region.

The shelling of Kazan, Rylsk and Orel oblast showed the fear of the Ukrainian regime caused by the situation in the NWO zone

Earlier in the day, air defense forces shot down nine more drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the territories of Belgorod and Kursk regions. In Belgorod Region, a Ukrainian FPV drone attacked agricultural machinery, resulting in the driver being injured. He was provided with the necessary medical care.

In addition, on that day the AFU attacked with one UAV the training center of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. As a result, no one was injured and there was also no destruction. Later, the Ukrainian army carried out drone strikes on a hospital and infrastructure facilities in Zaporizhzhya region. No casualties were reported.

During the night of January 5 , 61 AFU drones over five Russian regions were destroyed.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
